Asking Pulse a question
Type a question in plain English and get a chart, the numbers behind it, the members involved and a suggested next step.
Pulse is the reporting in Analytics. You don't need to build a report: type the question the way you'd ask your manager.
Asking
- Open Analytics.
- Type your question in the box at the top, such as "Why did members cancel last month?"
- Read the answer.
What comes back
- A chart, such as daily cancellations over the last 30 days.
- A short explanation, such as: cancellations jumped 11 days ago, and most came from members who stopped showing up the week before.
- The numbers behind it, and the list of members involved.
- A suggested next step, such as win-back messages to the members who look ready to quit.
What you can do with the answer
Open the list of members, export it to a spreadsheet, ask a follow-up question, or approve the suggested outreach. If you approve, Cortex messages those members and keeps following up.
Questions worth trying
- Why did cancellations go up?
- Which classes bring in the most revenue?
- Who hasn't been in for two weeks?
- How many trials became paying members this month?
You can see an example question and answer on the Pulse page.
