Reviewing new patient intakes
How a finished intake reaches your providers, what they see, and what the rest of your team can do.
Patients fill in their intake on their phone, whenever suits them. They answer your health questions, verify their ID and sign consent. When they finish, the intake goes into one queue for your providers.
What a provider sees
Each patient goes into the queue for a licensed provider in their state. At the top of the intake is a summary of their answers, including:
- Their goal and the program they signed up for
- Allergies, current medications and any conditions they flagged
- Whether their ID check passed and when they signed consent
- The pharmacy they'd like to use
Reviewing an intake
- Open the provider queue and select the patient.
- Read the summary, then the full answers underneath if anything needs a closer look.
- Book a visit if you need to speak to the patient first.
- Approve the intake when you're ready to prescribe.
Good to know
Approving an intake is a clinical decision for your licensed providers. Cortex doesn't make clinical decisions, such as which provider sees a patient or what to prescribe. The rest of your team can see which intakes are in progress and where each one stopped.
If your clinic already works with a medical group or a records system, the app connects to it, and your providers keep using the tools they know. Contact your account team to set that up.
